Why do I create this website?

Since I was a youngster, I always dreamt of being a multi-talented person like Benjamin Franklin, a scientist, politician, journalist, writer, creator, philanthropist, and diplomat in his one life time…I feel uncomfortable that each individual in today’s society tends to be viewed (and perhaps used) more as a tool that serves for one highly specialised function in their professional life, or at most being praised for their role in family duties — a good father, mother, husband, wife — while the talents and creativity as a whole person in a lot of many other aspects cannot be fully recognised and valued. It seems there are some standard modes to live lives, while those who dislike everyone else are regarded as strange.

Being once a “good girl”, I also worked hard on myself and always sacrificed my joy and inspiration in order to win out in the professional competition. However, instead of achieving more, I found that not only brought me illness, but also blocked my flow of joy in the academic work. On the contrary, when I follow joy and true inspiration, this would actually lead to the natural multi-blossoming in my whole life and professional development. This website would therefore be a testimony of my journey, to show the world how true inspiration and joy can lead to happiness, and success in one’s life.

My heart’s promptings

我来到此生的目的,不是为了去重复别人的生活,不是去走别人告诉我应该走的路,而是去发现和尊敬自己的路

We are here to discover and honour our own individual path.

Anita Moorjani: <Dying to be Me>

As souls, our deepest purpose is to serve and to love. We serve most wisely and love most selflessly when we are aware of and able to draw upon our own strengths and wisdom.
